You're right that the Argonians probably can't interbreed. In Oblivion you can find an NPC who's mother was an orc, and who's father was an imperial. But it's established that humans and orcs can interbreed. The book in Skyrim that says Khajiit are too different to interbreed also claims orcs are probably too different as well. And all of them look the same at birth and can have parents or siblings of any of the types. The Cathay are the ones seen in Skyrim, and some of the other kinds can look like a sentient house cat, or or a massive tiger as sentient as the others. The Suthay and Suthay-Raht look like a human or Mer with a feline cast to their face. The Khajiit come in sevral kinds, depending on the phases of the moons at the time of their birth, and the Ohmes and Ohmes-Raht variants look almost exactly like a human or Bosmer (The Ohmes are shorter of the two) except for having a tail.
